Snowflake Challenge #6

#1: The Good Place fic: The Three People, One Dog, and One Non-Human Non-Robot Not-a-Girl You Meet in Heaven by samalander. It absolutely nails Jason Mendoza's sweetness and weirdness. The non-canonical elements (like Jason's mother) blend in beautifully with canon. It's fantastic.
#2 Buffy fic: Inversion by Trekker. It's canon-divergent Season 2, where Angelus turns Jenny instead of killing her, and Jenny turns Giles into a vampire, leaving the world-saving to a bunch of teenagers with no real adult guidance. It's absolutely harrowing at times. The thing I like best about it is the characterization. The characters are their Season 2 selves, but the characterization is informed by elements we learned later in canon, like Xander's horrible dad or Willow's ruthless streak.
#3 She-Ra fic: The Good Soldier by Redrikki: I'm a sucker for minor character POV and this scratches that itch nicely. It's Lonnie, and she has no patience for Catra in Season 1, for good reasons.
