Fluff and schmoop, angst with a small ray of hope, hurt/comfort, pining, mutually beneficial one-night-stands. I also like stories that explore similarities (either in experiences or in personalities) between the people in the relationship, and stories that explore differences between the two people in the relationship, and how those differences complement each other. Nerd love is always great (if the ship lends itself to that). Humor is always a plus, particularly in first-time smut stories if things are a bit awkward at first. I love canon-divergence AUs, especially ones that result from some small change in canon.

The Half of It: 

Ellie Chu/Aster Flores 

1) Ellie and Aster drift back into each other's lives after college.
2) An AU where they chose a long-distance relationship while Ellie's at college/Aster's at art school.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power:  

1) Slow burn where Mermista is at first annoyed by, and eventually won over by Scorpia's unrelenting friendliness
2) Trying to navigate the logistics of a physical relationship when electricity+water powers are potentially dangerous

Perfuma/Scorpia
1) Scorpia is nervous for their first Princess Prom together, and overcompensates
2) Scorpia and Perfuma explore the new Fright Zone, Scorpia's new kingdom

Never Have I Ever: 

Aneesa/Devi

1) Something from Devi's POV where she's attracted to Aneesa but decides not to say anything about it. Like most of Devi's plans, this goes horribly wrong.
2) AU where Aneesa doesn't date Ben. Aneesa finds it surprisingly difficult to ask Devi on a date (either because of  complicated emotional reasons, or because of the general chaos that surrounds Devi.

I find Todd delightful. The way he treats everybody with earnest sweetness, his wacky adventures that generally turn out ok, his lovely relationship with Maude.  

Potential prompts: 

I’d love a Todd-esque adventure in the spirit of the series, or just a quiet conversation with any of the other characters, or a typical day on the job at the day care. I’d also enjoy a fic about rebuilding his relationship with his parents. Something domestic and/or romantic with Maude would work as well. 

Booksmart (2019): any characters (Amy, Molly, Jared or Gigi) 

My specific DNWs for this fandom are: death of Amy, Molly, Jared or Gigi 

What I’d like: I’m fine with fic about any one (or any two or three) of these characters; you don’t need to include all four. 

Potential prompts: 

I’d love to see these characters making their way through college. What kind of misadventures would these crazy kids get up to? I’d be delighted if the high school friendships carry on through college. If you’d prefer to look to the past, some pre-canon friendship fic (navigating the first day of junior high or high school, for example) would also be great.  

I didn’t want the movie to end because I loved the characters so much! I really loved the way the characters were portrayed with warmth and humanity and would love anything in that vein. 

Amy: I love the fearless badass living inside her, and I love her awkwardness / ability to get herself into amazingly uncomfortable situations on a regular basis. 

Molly: I think it’s hilarious that her first response to learning that everyone in the school is going to an Ivy is to cram as much fun as possible into one night. She can’t do anything half-assed. 

Jared: I love that he appreciates Molly for her try-hardness, not despite it. 

Gigi: She is an utter joy to watch in every chaotic appearance she makes. I love her total weirdness throughout. 

The Good Place: any characters (Eleanor, Chidi, Jason, Janet) 

I have no specific DNWs for this fandom! 

What I’d like: I’m fine with fic about anyone (or any two or three) of these characters; you don’t need to include all four. 

What I love about each character: 

Eleanor: I love that even when she’s at her most selfish, there’s something charismatic about her. You can’t help but like her even when she’s terrible.  

Chidi: His anxiety and indecisiveness are hilarious to me because I can totally relate. 

Janet: I love the non-judgmental and even cheerful way she can phrase bad or even appalling information, the way she carries herself like some sort of alien. 

Jason: I love the perfect stupidity of his life (“In Jacksonville, I got a flu virus named after me 'cause I kissed a bat on a dare.”) and his general kindness to other people. 

Potential prompts: 

I am kind of obsessed with all the failed reboots of season 2. I can’t get enough of the demons ineptly trying to torture the humans, and getting found out each time. A Five Things set in the reboots would be great.  I’d also love Janet POV fic; I feel like we only got to see a fraction of the weirdness that is her mind, so a typical day (including time spent in her void) fic would be great. I’d also love a fic set back on Earth, with Eleanor and / or Jason being their usual hilarious trashbag selves. If you want to write ship fic I ship Eleanor/Chidi and Jason/Janet, but I’m open to other ships. 

The Half of It (2020), any characters (Aster Flores, Edwin Chu, Ellie Chu, Paul Munsky) 

My specific DNWs for this fandom are: death of Ellie, Paul, Aster, or Edwin 

I’m fine with fic about any one (or any two or three) of these characters you don’t need to include all four. 

I really enjoyed the wide range of the relationships in the movie: 

Aster and Ellie connecting on an intellectual level 

Ellie learning to appreciate Paul’s tenacity 

Ellie and her dad and the complicated relationship when the child has to translate and/or mediate with the world on behalf of the parent.  

Potential prompts:  

I'd love to see Aster at art school or Ellie at college, with either one or both of them broadening their horizons outside of Squahamish. Or a fic about Paul and Ellie’s dad adjusting to life in Squahamish after Ellie leaves. A fic set in the future where Ellie/Aster get together would be fantastic as well. Genfic about Ellie and Paul’s friendship, or genfic about Ellie’s relationship with her dad, and/or her friends. An AU where Ellie feels free to pursue Aster openly in high school. 

Homicide: Life on the Street: (Tim Bayliss, Frank Pembleton, Kay Howard, Meldrick Lewis) 

My specific DNWs for this fandom are: death of Howard, Lewis, Pembleton, or Bayliss, fic set in prison, stories focused on unrequited love 

I’m fine with fic about any one (or any two, three, or four) of these of these characters; you don’t need to include all five. 

What I liked about the show: 

I liked the feel of the earlier seasons, which was the detectives handling a difficult job (solving fairly mundane murders) with intelligence, tenacity, warmth and humor. I liked that the detectives in earlier seasons had time for discussions about trivial things like the discussion of iconic Baltimore museums or arguments about whether subway stations are depressing, or the conversations generating from weird newspaper articles that Munch would read. 

How the show went off the rails for me: 

I did not like the way the focus of the show turned to crisis episodes (serial killers, child abductions/children in peril, snipers, evil twins randomly shooting people on the interstate, hostage situations) I also didn’t care for the “dump tons of soul-crushing angst and trauma from multiple unrelated sources on the hapless characters” as a source of drama. 

Potential prompts: 

I’d love to see bits of canon that we didn’t get to see—like Pembleton and Bayliss’s 3-month stint in the Robbery Squad, or how Kay came to the decision to stay with the Fugitive Squad, or how Meldrick managed to get the Mahoney crew to start an internal war, or what it was like for Bayliss to work alone while Frank was home recuperating from his stroke. AUs that are a result of “what if someone made a different decision than they did in canon”, especially relating to the Luther Mahoney debacle, would be great as well. If you are inclined to write shippy stuff, I ship Pembleton with Bayliss, and Kay with anyone who appreciates her awesomeness, but am open to other ships. AUs that are a result of “what if someone made a different decision than they did in canon” would be great as well.  

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse any characters: (Aaron Davis | Prowler (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) May Parker (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) Miles Morales (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) Olivia Octavius (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)

Potential prompts: 

Canon: I’d love the backstory of May’s line “Oh, it’s Liv.”  Or some of the events of the movie from May’s or Uncle Aaron’s or Octavia’s point of view. I would also enjoy a little backstory for Octavia or Uncle Aaron—how did they get started on their particular paths, how did they end up working for Kingpin? 

Alternate Universes: This is a movie with a whole bunch of truly weird alternate universes, feel free to go nuts with whatever weird AU strikes your fancy. Or canon divergence—like what if Miles didn’t tangle with Uncle Aaron / Prowler or Octavia / Doc Ock until later in his tenure as Spider-Man? Or what if one or both Uncle Aaron / Prowler or Octavia / Doc Ock switch sides and help save the multiverse?
